A meeting in the moment and in words.
If you value stories
that do not quietly appear on a shelf,
but step into the room,
between sounds and people.
You are warmly welcome!

When I think of myself as a Woman, I’m somehow always surprised when that part of me is brought under attention. As if I don’t quite believe that the Woman in me truly exists. On one hand, being a woman is something sort of a weakness—something that shouldn’t be shown, something we’ve been taught to hide. After all, even today’s world is built in such a way that recognition and attention go mostly to those who are considered successful by society’s standards—women who build careers, are financially secure, independent, and strong. But when a woman’s main choice in life is to support her man and tend to her home—not to mention revealing the more mysterious sides hidden within her—this is somehow frowned upon.
On the other hand, being a woman is also a strength. A woman’s intuition, her ability to sense and feel. A woman’s gift for creating warmth around her. Yet, how many of us women truly dare to meet that inner Female of ours? And even more—dare to show her to the world? Woman is not only the sweet and beautiful. In her, there is also a dark and incomprehensible side. And that is what makes her interesting and intriguing.
A Woman—she tingles every nerve of a man’s being, softly yet firmly, urging him into action. Yes, it is precisely the woman who has the power to inspire a man to act, to create something, and to move toward something he may not even be aware of yet. For a woman senses potential, and once she has seen it, she begins to nurture it, care for it. Ah, how wonderful it is to stand beside a man whose being brims with vitality and whose masculinity pulses within him, ready to conquer the whole world!
Quote from the book

A woman is a fascinating being. All women are, of course, but some women stand out the moment you encounter their presence. And if you had to start describing what exactly enchants you about such a woman, it wouldn’t be easy to put into words. You might name certain qualities—authenticity, simplicity, vulnerability, gentleness, courage… and then there is something more. Invisible layers, readable “between the words”, felt with a sixth sense. A mysterious, magnetic power, sometimes even frightening or envy-evoking. You know what I mean, right?
This book is exactly the same. Real. Simple. Courageous. It’s easy to read and seems almost effortless to understand. The lines flowed into me like a softly murmuring stream. But don’t let that simplicity fool you. There is something more in this book—something Anu does not put into words and does not say out loud, yet it’s there, felt clearly, gently tingling, creating the feeling of “I want that too.” That magical power that I find in myself when I dare to feel—this is what I tried to weave into the illustrations that have the honor of accompanying this book.
Thank you, Anu!

About the Author

I am interested in people. I enjoy listening, thinking along, feeling, and growing together. I like seeing how, by discovering our inner superpowers, we move closer to our dreams. The one primary person under my constant observation is myself — how I change, what I get stuck on, what moves me forward, and what holds me back.
Most people are not friends with change — it brings confusion and fear of the unknown. Yet there is something very ancient, fresh, and creative in change. Transformation gives strength, builds confidence, and opens new dimensions of life. Yes, I like questions. I have been an avid question-asker since childhood, and even today I often ask questions — above all of myself. I feel curiosity toward the mysteries of the world; I am drawn toward deeper understanding, both of our world and of what lies beyond it.
Change walks with me. I often find myself in the midst of change without even knowing exactly how I arrived there. There is something primal in change for me, yet at the same time deeply refreshing and creative. Life is a process — I remind myself of this constantly. And also that nothing is an absolute truth or fixed forever. Fears, doubts, hopes, and dreams all exist equally within us and guide us forward. Crises in life are part of life. In my own life, too, there have been many moments when I have wanted to bury my head in the sand, yet by facing the challenge I have discovered sides of myself I did not know existed. The main lesson for me, however, has been the understanding that I do not have to do everything alone or by myself. In this way, every new encounter gives me the opportunity to see the world through different eyes and from different angles.
